Innovation has driven mankind since our beginning. Expansion, progression, and personal gain are the catalysts for each major event in human history. While this vast increase of knowledge has led to longer, healthier human lives and highly advanced machinery, this innovation has also detrimentally impacted our home.
Earth’s resources are depleting and increasing homelessness can be observed within species across the globe. Our bleak environmental future has led me to the creation of a new world to explore–one untouched by the human hand.
This body of work utilizes ceramics and multimedia with the integration of natural materials such as moss, twigs, and stone. I use clay for its mimicry of earthly organic elements.

Nature's inspiration for my work was not through its fruitfulness or lushness, but through its increasingly lack thereof. As a child, I admired nature’s strength and demand to be feared. Now, nature appears weak, broken, and dying. This show brings magnificence back to Mother Nature and gives life to the luscious land I dream of exploring–a Fleeting Delusion.
